SPEECH ROW: BJP & CONG FILE 'CROSS' COMPLAINTS

Goa Congress has filed complaint with Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) Goa against BJP leaders including PM Narendra Modi and CM Pramod Sawant for allegedly deliberately spreading misinformation in the context of the speech made by INDI Alliance South Goa Lok Sabha Candidate Captain Viriato Fernandes, by ‘twisting and misinterpreting facts’.

Along with PM and CM, Congress has also named Party State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Digambar Kamat and other party leaders and office bearers in the complaint. 
BJP has also filed a complaint with CEO against Viriato stating that he has disrespected the constitution in his speech. FIR has also been filed by BJP against Viriato at Colva police station .

Reacting to the complaint, CM Sawant said “ Cong S Goa candidate Capt Viriato should be put in jail for saying Indian Constitution was forced on Goa. “ECI should probe into matter. Viriato & RaGa should be investigated. I am ready for probe against me,”
