Crime Branch has arrested Tarak Manguesh Arolkar in the forgery case involving the alleged use of a fabricated birth certificate to obtain an Other Backward Classes caste certificate. • Satish Shinde, arrested in connection with the Majestic Porvorim shooting case, has been remanded to nine days of judicial custody. • The High Court has granted bail to 41-year-old Porvorim resident Ashutosh Atchut Naik in connection with an alleged multi-crore investment scam, observing that he prima facie appears to be an investor and victim of the fraud rather than a conspirator. • Goa clinched two bronze medals at the Senior National Kickboxing Championship in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. A 39-year-old businessman and his father were allegedly assaulted with wooden sticks and threatened with dire consequences over a soak pit dispute at Bedshe Wada, Bhuipal, Sattari.
