MICHAEL-DIGAMBAR DISQUAL'N PLEA 'DISMISSED'

Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has dismissed the disqualification petition filed against Michael Lobo and Digambar Kamat by GPCC President Amit Patkar. 

Goa Congress President Amit Patkar had filed disqualification petition before the Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar  pleading to  disqualify  then Congress MLAs Michael Lobo and Digamber Kamat for their anti party activity prior to defection of G8 MLAs.

Petitioner Amit Patkar had contended that both Michael Lobo and MLA Digamber Kamat were elected on the candidature of the Congress party to the 8th Goa Legislative Assembly. But, later both incurred disqualification on account of voluntarily giving up the membership of Congress party by not attending the meeting of the  legislative party on 10 July 2022 and becoming incommunicado with the leaders of the party.
