Valanka Alemao has been elected as the new President of the Goa Football Association (GFA), securing 83 votes in the election held on Tuesday.

Her opponent, Caitaino Fernandes, received 67 votes out of the total 160 votes cast.

With this victory, Valanka Alemao will take charge of the state’s football governing body, which oversees football activities and competitions in Goa.
