A war of words has erupted between Ajay Kholkar and RGP MLA Viresh Borkar over the use of the party’s name and representation at a meeting held at the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office.

Ajay Kholkar has challenged Borkar to initiate action against him, declaring that he is ready to face the consequences. In a social media post, Kholkar wrote, “Kupp warning zali… Bring it on… am waiting,” signalling his readiness to face any action taken against him.

Kholkar also alleged that Borkar could afford to hire accountants and legal advisers using ₹3 crore allegedly received from Girish. The allegation has not been independently verified.

Responding to the matter, RGP MLA Viresh Borkar said Kholkar had no authority to represent the party and termed his attendance at the CEO office meeting illegal. Borkar warned that strict action would be taken against individuals found misusing the party’s name, including legal action if necessary.

Borkar also announced that authorised identity cards would be issued to RGP members to establish who is officially permitted to represent the party at meetings and other official proceedings.

The MLA further alleged BJP involvement in the matter, adding another political dimension to the dispute.
