ST leaders have accused the BJP government of betraying the trust of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community following the Chief Minister’s statement on ST reservation, demanding that he honour his commitment to the community.

Reacting to the Chief Minister’s remarks that the process concerning ST reservation was with the Election Commission, the leaders said the government could not evade its responsibility by citing procedural hurdles.
They asserted that the Chief Minister must fulfil the promise made to the ST community and warned that they would not tolerate what they described as a betrayal of the community’s trust.
