Captain of Ports has Issued draft notification specifying rental charges for various services for Casinos, Floating Hotels and Restaurants, River cruises, fishing, water sports, Floating Jetty, Platforms, Pontoon etc.
Rental Charges specified per square meter per month for some of the services are as follows-
Mooring Charges
a) Casinos 500/-
b) Floating Hotels/Restaurants 500/-
c) Floating Jetty/Platforms/ 400/-
/Pontoon
d) Offshore Vessel/Transhippers 500/-
e) Other Vessels 50/-
-Jetty Spaces
a) Casino for office etc. 3000/-
b) River Cruises 100/-
c) Fishing 50/-
d) Water Sports 50/-
- Usage of Riverine Land
a) Loading Concrete Jetty 100/-
b) Dry Dock/Slipway in 100/-
Government Riverine Land
c) Water Frontage for Workshop 200/-
d) Temporary Wooden Jetty 100/
-Usage of departmental land 100/-
for unloading fishing nets
- Installation of fishing cages/ 10/-
racks/stakes for traditional
fishermen in river
All objections and/or suggestions to the said draft Rules may be forwarded to the Captain of Ports and ex officio Joint Secretary to the Government of Goa, Captain of Ports Department, Panaji, before the expiry of the said period of fifteen days so that they may be taken into consideration at the time of finalization of the said draft Rules.
Once a new permission is issued for usage of riverine land, rental charges shall be paid in advance and even if the allotted space is not used, the amount paid shall be not refunded. Penalty at the rate of 5% shall be imposed for failure to renew permission before its expiry and for annual renewal of permission inspection fees of Rs. 1000/- shall be charged. Also, for issue
of new permission, inspection fees of Rs. 2000/- shall be charged. For issue of new permission for repairs of riverine bund fees of Rs. 10,000/- shall be charged.
