Tyre major MRF Ltd has clarified that it is not conducting any recruitment drive in Kudal, Maharashtra, as alleged by Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai. The company confirmed that its hiring process will take place only at the Government ITI, Farmagudi, on September 12.
Earlier, Sardesai had claimed that MRF was planning to recruit 250 trainees in Kudal, calling it an “attack on Goan youth” and urging Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to intervene.
MRF dismissed these claims as incorrect, reiterating that the recruitment is exclusively scheduled in Goa.
Later in the day, Sardesai hit back, stating that he had proof that the MRF job interviews will be held in Kudal. “Even MNS District President of Sindhudurg, Dheeraj Parab, has confirmed the same. I do not have the habit of taking up issues without verifying them. I always make allegations backed by evidence. The CMO should have taken action against the company. These companies are not afraid of the Goa government — the Industries Department is in their pocket,” Sardesai alleged.
Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) chief Manoj Parab also slammed the government over the MRF recruitment issue, terming it a “Job Chor Sarkar” and alleging that Goan jobs are being handed to outsiders through unofficial drives.
