The jurisdiction of Mopa Police Station has now been limited to the airport area, with several surrounding villages being brought back under the jurisdiction of Pernem Police Station.

The change will cover areas including Chandel, Kasarvanem, Varkhand, Ugvem and Torxem, among other villages.

Residents of Ibrampur and Chandel are likely to face inconvenience as they will once again have to approach Pernem Police Station for police-related matters.
