He laid the foundation stone for the New Goa International Airport at Mopa and the New Zuari Bridge. He also initiated the Atal Setu project. He was the first Chairperson of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC). The Corporation is in-charge of construction and maintenance of the Padma Bushan Manohar Parrikar Smriti Sthal. He also initiated social schemes such as Laadli Laxmi Scheme and Dayanand Social Security Scheme." CM Pramod Sawant said. CM Sawant paid floral tributes to the late Manohar Parrikar on his 4th Death Anniversary at his Samadhi and Smriti Sthal.
