Family members have expressed no suspicion of foul play. • Old Goa Police, in a joint operation with Sawantwadi Police, traced and apprehended two accused, Dipraj Govekar and Sahil Diwarkar, in connection with a murder case.The victim, Azim Khan, a native of UP working at a shawarma café in Old Goa, was allegedly assaulted over workplace differences. His body was later found dumped in a forest area near Malgaon railway station in Sawantwadi. • ARZ has been appointed under Section 15(6A) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITPA) to assist police in rescuing sex trafficking victims. The provision safeguards women and girls during searches and interrogation by requiring the presence of women police officers or, where necessary, a representative of a recognised welfare organisation. • The National Green Tribunal, Western Zone Bench has stayed the Environmental and Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance granted to the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) for a major channel deepening project in Goa citing "Copied and Pasted" Conditions.
