The Directorate of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, felicitated senior citizens from across Goa on the occasion of Senior Citizens Day in Margao.

Senior citizens who have made notable contributions in various fields, including social service, culture, education, cooperation and administration, were honoured during the programme.

The felicitation was carried out by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai and Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar. The programme recognised the valuable contributions and continued participation of senior citizens in the development of society and acknowledged their role in shaping Goa’s social and community life.
