The President of the Shree Damodar Zambaulim Temple Devasthan has clarified that the temple does not intend to hand over the management of its proposed goshala to the Dhyan Foundation.
Speaking to the media, the Devasthan chief said the temple is not insisting that Dhyan Foundation should run the goshala and is open to any eligible organisation from Goa taking responsibility for its management.
"We are not insisting that the goshala be handed over to Dhyan Foundation. If any organisation from Goa is willing to take responsibility for managing the goshala, we have no objection. We are also prepared to provide financial assistance whenever required," he said.
The statement comes amid ongoing discussions over who should manage the proposed goshala, with the Devasthan indicating its willingness to support any suitable Goa-based organisation that comes forward.
