Goa government is set to launch the ‘Goa Fresh’ brand as part of its Swayampurna Goa and Vocal for Local initiatives

The Goa government is set to launch the ‘Goa Fresh’ brand as part of its Swayampurna Goa and Vocal for Local initiatives, aiming to promote and market locally grown agricultural produce.

The brand will be officially launched by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at an event in Ponda, WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar said.

Under the initiative, produce grown by Goan farmers will be branded, packaged and marketed under the Goa Fresh label, providing local agricultural products with a distinct identity in the market.

Agriculture Director said the department is currently planning to sell Goan vegetables under the Goa Fresh brand. The government also plans to take the initiative to online platforms in the future, allowing consumers to purchase locally grown produce digitally.
