Jayandrath Padolkar is the Secretary and Candido Correa the Treasurer.  •  Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Unit has arrested Goa residents Siddhesh Tari & Pritesh Salgaonkar in connection with an alleged extortion case involving The House of Abhinandan Lodha’s One Goa project at Karapur, Bicholim. Police allege the duo demanded money from the company and threatened to disrupt the housing project. Around Rs 41 lakh was allegedly taken from the company. The arrests were made in Dodamarg, Maharashtra.  •  A 55-year-old man died on the spot after an Ertiga taxi collided head-on with a Fascino scooter carrying him and his son, both from Chandigarh, on Baga Road. His son sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Goa Medical College for treatment.  •  The Enforcement Directorate’s Panaji Zonal Office has arrested Bhushan Suryakant Moye, Vilas Narayan Pawar and Shailesh Dagdu Chavan under the PMLA in connection with the alleged “digital arrest” cyber fraud targeting a Goa resident. With these arrests, the total number of accused arrested in the case has risen to five. The Special Court (PMLA), Goa has remanded the three to ED custody till September 1, 2026.  •  The Goa Coalition for Women’s Reservation with Inclusion and Federalism has urges state govt to move a resolution in the upcoming Assembly session seeking 33% reservation for women in the Goa Legislative Assembly.
