The Goa Cabinet has approved the implementation of the "Anywhere Registration" system under the Indian Registration Act, a move aimed at making property registration more convenient and citizen-friendly.
Under the new system, people will be able to register property-related documents at any sub-registrar office within the same district, irrespective of the location of the property.
The facility will be applicable across North Goa, South Goa and Kushawati districts.
The reform will allow documents such as sale deeds, mortgage agreements and other registrable property documents to be processed at any sub-registrar office in the concerned district, eliminating the requirement for citizens to visit only the office having jurisdiction over the property's taluka.
The government expects the initiative to simplify the registration process, reduce travel and waiting time for citizens, and improve the ease of availing registration services across the State.
