With the 2027 Goa Assembly elections approaching, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has indicated that a grand alliance could be on the cards, with the party also eyeing a considerable number of seats.

NCP Goa State President Jose Philip D’Souza met party supremo Sharad Pawar and said discussions around a possible grand alliance were taking shape ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

D’Souza also said Pawar had informed him that NCP working president Supriya Sule was in touch with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at the national level, indicating that discussions on political coordination could extend beyond Goa.

He added that the NCP was likely to contest a considerable number of seats in the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.
