Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has urged people facing difficult or crisis situations to dial the 181 helpline, assuring that police assistance will reach their homes within nine minutes.
Addressing Goans, Sawant said there was no need to be afraid if someone was harassing or threatening them, if they were facing domestic violence, or even if they were experiencing thoughts of suicide.
“Whatever the situation may be, there is no need to fear. Dial 181,” the Chief Minister said.
Sawant said that once a distress call is made to the 181 helpline, the police will respond and reach the caller’s residence within nine minutes.
The Chief Minister appealed to people facing any form of crisis to seek help instead of remaining silent or dealing with the situation alone.
