BJP Goa President Damodar (Damu) Naik has expressed confidence that the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) will materialise ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.

Naik said preliminary talks had been held between the two parties, but discussions on seat-sharing had not yet taken place.

“These were only initial talks, and further discussions will be held with the central leadership,” Naik said, indicating that the next phase of negotiations would involve senior party leaders. With formal seat-sharing talks yet to begin, the constituencies each party may contest remain undecided as both parties explore the continuation of their alliance for the 2027 Assembly polls.
