Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, co-owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, arrived in Goa from Delhi on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, following their deportation from Thailand in connection with the December 6 fire that claimed 25 lives. The Goa Police will interrogate the brothers regarding the tragic Arpora nightclub blaze, an official confirmed. The Luthras landed at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, North Goa, at 10:45 am, escorted by a police team.
They were first taken to a Primary Health Centre in Siolim for medical evaluation and later transferred to Mapusa District Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported that the two were seated in separate police vehicles during the convoy of six jeeps from the airport. Following the medical check-up, the brothers are expected to be brought to Anjuna police station for questioning and will also be presented in a Mapusa court for their routine remand.
The Anjuna police had earlier registered a case against the Luthras on multiple charges, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder, after the fire. The brothers were arrested in Delhi on Tuesday upon their arrival from Thailand, and the court granted the Goa Police a two-day transit remand to bring them to the state.
