Idli is very popular in Mangalore (Dakshina Kannada region of Karnataka), and one unique traditional variety is the jackfruit leaf idli, locally known as Kotte Kadubu or Donne Idli. The batter used for this idli is the same as normal idli batter, made from rice and urad dal. However, what makes it special is the method of preparation.
