A 29-year-old motorcyclist and his 25-year-old pillion rider died after their motorcycle crashed into the crash barrier of the Baina flyover on October 1.
According to the enquiry report, Shrishail Rayappa Talwar (29) was riding a Bajaj Pulsar with Survana Chandrashekar Koppar (25) as the pillion rider. The accident occurred at around 9.45 pm near a sharp curve on the flyover while they were travelling from MPA Gate No. 9 towards the T-junction.
The motorcycle reportedly lost control and collided with the flyover crash barrier, causing both riders to fall onto the road below.
Both sustained grievous injuries and were subsequently taken to SDH Chicalim, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
