IndiGo has discontinued six city pairs from Goa starting today as part of its Summer ’26 schedule adjustment, resulting in a reduction of 32 weekly departures from the state.

At Manohar International Airport (Mopa), the affected routes include Surat (1 weekly flight), Rajkot (7 weekly), Vadodara (7 weekly), Chandigarh (7 weekly), and Bhubaneswar (3 weekly). From Dabolim airport, the airline has terminated its Bhopal route, which operated seven times a week.

Sources indicate that the decision is linked to seasonal demand patterns, with these routes reportedly becoming commercially unviable during the summer months. Airlines often realign their networks based on passenger load factors and profitability, especially in off-peak travel periods.

The move is expected to impact connectivity between Goa and several tier-2 cities, particularly for travellers relying on direct flights. However, industry observers note that such suspensions are not uncommon and routes may be reinstated during high-demand seasons if viability improves.
