Speaking at the Inaugural of Vigilance Awareness Week, CM Sawant disclosed that Pooja Naik has also confessed that she has given 2 government jobs with the help of officers. “We will issue notices to both government officers,” he added 2- Goa Water Resource Department Minister Subhash Shirodkar has claimed that Goa was well represented during the 3rd Mhadei PRAWAH meeting which was recently held in Goa. Speaking to the media, Shirodkar said “We requested for a joint inspection of the Kalsa Nala project which was objected by the Karnataka government claiming that the latter is sub judice. “Now legal opinion has been sought, and it would take around 1-2 months for it to be done,” he added 3- Despite having 33 MLAs, BJP has failed to get desired result for its membership drive in the constituencies from Pernem and Bardez taluka in North and Ponda, Canacona in South Goa. 4- Savordem BJP Mandal President Vilas Desai said that there has been delay in Dudhsagar taxi tours due to GTDC Chairman Ganesh Gaonkar. He said that Chairman should resolve issue and implement lasting solution. The operators are firm on their demand that the GTDC counter should be removed and online booking should be done through the tour operators association. A gharane was performed today by operators. 5- Alert locals intercepted a truck at Tillari ghat illegally transporting beef along with vegetables. The truck was enroute from Karnataka to Calangute. 6- SIT Land Grabbing has arrested 2 persons for alleged grabbing of land at Assagao. The accused identified as Divyakumar Khandar and Yogesh Magar allegedly created forged, fraudulent documents of properties of Assagao village and succeeded in transferring ownership rights of the land in their name. Both were produced before JMFC Mapusa and remanded to 5 days of Police custody. Divya Kumar is the social media chairman of the Goa Congress 7- The Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) has announced Interest-Free Education Loan (IFEL) Scheme for students pursuing higher education in India as well as abroad, for academic year 2024-25.
