These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:- 1)Cybercrime Cell of Goa police has busted an illegal call center engaged in cyber fraud targeting US citizens operating out of Zuarinagar, Sancoale and arrested 24 employees. The accused were made to impersonate as loan company agents, staff from Amazon headquarters, bank employees, Paypal, IOS, Zell Pay, Apple Pay, government agencies, and law enforcement officers etc. and induce unsuspecting US citizens to pay large sums in the form of gift cards, bitcoins, and other means under false pretexts, including loan assistance, purchase payments, and technical support.Police informed that the call center was operational in Goa since one month, during which it is estimated to have perpetrated fraud amounting to over Rs 1 crore. 2) Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to deliberate on crucial issues concerning the Mormugao Port Trust and the Viceregal Palace's restoration efforts. During his Delhi visit, Sawant also met Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi. "During the discussion, we deliberated on key matters concerning the Mormugao Port Trust and explored the process of transferring the ruins of the historic Viceregal Palace to the Department of Archaeology, Government of Goa," the CM said in another post on X. "This transfer would facilitate the restoration and preservation of this historically significant site, ensuring its protection for future generations," he added. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also said that ESA team will to visit Goa tomorrow and meeting is scheduled with them. Sawant also said that there is a need to increase import & export at MPA; we need to come up with future plan; if imports & export rise, other businesses will automatically flourish; had detailed discussion with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal; this future plan will be discussed during his Goa visit in future: CM Sawant 3) Ahead of the four-week Parliament Winter Session which began on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the Opposition, saying that some resort to hooliganism to control Parliament after being rejected by people again and again in elections. In an apparent reference to the Congress's defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that the public must "reject them again and again". He urged the Opposition to honour public sentiment and uphold democratic values, stressing the importance of responsible conduct in Parliament. 4)Union Minister Prahlad Joshi informed that Kalsa-Bandura project will soon get clearance from Union government. Joshi also promised to hold discussions with Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav for environmental clearance. 5) AITUC Goa has extended support to the nationwide protest on November 26, called by Central Trade Unions & Samyukt Kisan Morcha. The protest demands MSP for crops, loan waivers, and withdrawal of labor and privatization laws. AITUC also alleged that government as well as opposition are involved in cash for jobs scam. 6) Goa's first registered vehicle scrapping facility, Miraai Vehicle Recycling, was inaugurated at Madkai. MLA Digambar Kamat hailed the project as the first vehicle recycling factory in Goa and the first of its kind.
