These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:- 1- Goa Enforcement Directorate has registered an Enforcement Case Information Report to investigate into the money laundering angle related with cash for job scams. A senior officer of Goa ED said that requests have been made to North and South Goa police to provide copies of FIRs registered against Cash for Job scams. ED usually investigates cases where the crime proceeds are over Rs 1 crore. 2-An Aldona voter has filed an intervention application before Mapusa JMFC Court pleading to allow him to intervene in bail application filed by accused Kukesh Rauta; The Prosecution & Defence have opposed the intervention application. The court has reserved the order on the intervention application for Wednesday. The arguments on Kukesh's bail plea to commence after order on the intervention plea. 3- BJP Yuva Morcha has staged a protest outside the Congress House in Panaji, demanding the resignation of Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira over the alleged extortion case. Former Aldona MLA and BJP leader Glen Ticlo who led the protestors called for action against Ferreira, urging the Congress to remove him from the party. He further said that Carlos should come out and clarify to the people. Ferreira had filed a police complaint with the police stating that he was extorted Rs 5.5 lakh by an Orissa-based accused, Kukesh Rauta by morphing his face and creating a sexually explicit obscene video. Kukesh has been arrested by the Crime Branch. 4- Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has presented the Citizenship Certificate to Shane Sebastian Pereira and his family under the Citizenship Amendment Act. Speaking to media CM Sawant said “ Shane Sebastian Pareira, originally a Pakistani citizen, migrated to India shortly after his birth. He completed his school education in Goa and has since been a long-standing resident of the state. Pereira has rightfully benefited from the provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019,” 5- Drunk Driving Incident: Russian Tourist Crashes Car Into Electricity Pole 6- 250 mm dia water pipeline burst due to alleged negligence of JCB operator at Khandepar; JCB operator was working on levelling the internal road which leads to Usgao area 7- A gas cylinder explosion in a rented room at Teen Maad, Sodiem-Siolim, left a couple injured. Police suspect a gas leak caused the cylinder to catch fire and explode.
