These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:- 1- There have been reports of a took-kit being used to defame Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant. Ruling party MLAs have expressed their anger over the whole tool-kit issue. MLA Premendra Shet has said claimed that those defaming Goa should be taken to task and this entire propaganda against Goa will fail. Independent MLA Chandrakant Shetty says he doesn't know if any minister is involved in this tool-kit, but such attempts to defame Goa and CM Sawant are wrong. Meanwhile, Goa Forward MLA Vijai Sardesai said that the government is already fame for corruption, tool-kit is not even required. 2- Aam Admi Party MP Sanjay Singh's advocate has submitted before the court that till the date of the next hearing and during such time, he will not make any defamatory statements against CM Sawant's wife Sulakshana Sawant. The next hearing has been scheduled for 24th January 2025. It may be recalled that Sulakshana had filed a defamation case against Sanjay for allegedly making defamatory statements against her in cash for jobs scam. 3- Datta Naik appeared before the Canacona police today for interrogation. The Margao JMFC Court has also fixed the order in the anticipatory bail case on Monday i.e. 13th January. It may be recalled that Datta Naik has been booked for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. 4- Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said that the recent murder of a tourist and the incident of assault on a group of tourists have impacted the reputation of Goa as a global tourist destination. Lobo in this regards met with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Lobo said that tourists come to the beach to enjoy, we should not fight with them,” the MLA said as he appealed to the shack operators to refrain from getting aggressive with tourists. “If a customer gets drunk and argues, keep quiet. If it gets worse, call the police.” 5- The owners of spa, massage centres and beauty parlours will have to provide full details of the staff working at their institutions along with their identification documents to police. As of now 15 spa centers are operational in Panaji city.   6- Ponda JMFC has granted bail to Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) Councillor Shivanand Sawant and Sadanand Prabhugaokar in the fraud income certificate case.  The police had earlier arrested Sadanand Prabhugaonkar of Silvanagar-Ponda in this connection. PMC officials had discovered that Sadananda Prabhugaonkar, who had applied for an income certificate, had attached a previous fake income certificate.
