Some teachers and historians have raised objection against some false information being thought to students of 11th standard about Maratha Enperor Chatrapati Shivaji. According to them, History book with chapter ‘History of Goa’ in 11th standard syllabus has misquoted emperor Shivaji’s Goa related information claiming that Shivaji had committed atrocities on men, women and children and some were also killed. Historians claim that Shivaji always had high regards towards women and children. They have demanded that the portion should be removed from the syllabus.
