Panaji Police arrested Jannat Hanabarkadadi, a native of Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly cheating CSB Bank, Panaji, by pledging 16 fake gold bangles weighing around 128 grams to secure a gold loan worth ₹7.35 lakh. She had been absconding since the offence on April 16, 2025, and was traced following a surveillance operation by Panaji Police.
The TCP Department has proposed declaring 4,39,558 sq m of land in Tiswadi as No Development Zone (NDZ) under Section 39-A of the TCP Act. Of this, 1,02,500 sq m is in Ella and 3,37,058 sq m in Calapor. Public objections and suggestions have been invited.
