Governor of Goa Mridula Sinha has said that women are not less than men, but it is sad that even strong women like Sita and Savitri are projected as 'Bechari'. Mridula Sinha was speaking at the book release event of the marathi version of her popular book Paritapt Lankeshwari. Rajashree Khandeparkar has translated this book in marathi with the tittle 'Anutapt Lankeshwari'

The book is about Ramayana from the point of view of Ravana's wife Mandodari.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Fomento group Avduth Timblo said that Goa is the meeting place of many culture, language and literature.

The event was organised at Cidade De Goa hotel.
