Old Goa Police have registered an FIR under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Crime Branch PI Vikas Deykar and another accused, Ranjini Palyekar, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.According to the police, the alleged incidents took place at the Crime Branch premises in Ribandar on July 25 and October 27, 2026. The second accused allegedly facilitated the incidents. • Verna Police have cracked a minor girl harassment case registered under Cr. No. 125/2026 by tracing and apprehending the accused, Eklis Vas, with the help of CCTV footage and intensive investigation. The accused has been remanded to four days of police custody. • The Goa Directorate of Transport has issued a public advisory urging citizens to verify their e-challan status and make payments only through authorised government portals and applications. Citizens have been cautioned against fraudulent websites and unverified payment links.
